Your intake appointment is the first step at Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center. You will be given a medical grade pregnancy test and opportunity to speak with a nurse – she will go over your results with you and answer any questions you may have.
If you qualify for an ultrasound, we will also book your cost-free ultrasound at this time.

Did you know that “false-positive” pregnancy tests can happen? That’s why in addition to administering a medical grade pregnancy test, SMPC also provides nurse consultations & ultrasounds.
All ultrasounds at SMPC are for confirming pregnancy viability and gestational age. Which is basically making sure that yes, you are pregnant without any current signs of miscarriage, and determining how far along you are. These two pieces of information are really important, and will help you in deciding next steps.

The Center offers cost-free urine testing for two of the most common STDs/STIs – Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. These infections often do not show any symptoms but are still damaging to your body and can impact your fertility- especially if you have had a miscarriage or an abortion.
